Overview
uDown is built for shared planning. That means we need some information about your account, events, invitees, and availability. We aim to collect only what we need to run the service and help your group choose a time.
Your friends do not need to see the private details of your calendar to plan with you. In uDown, calendar information is used to help show availability for events and groups you take part in.
Information we collect
The information we collect depends on how you use uDown and what you choose to connect or share.
Account information
Your name, email address, profile details, sign-in details, and settings.
Calendar and availability information
Information from a calendar you choose to connect and the availability choices you provide in uDown. We use this information to help plan events and groups you take part in.
Event information
Events you create or join, invited friends, RSVP status, suggested times, comments, notes, activity tags, dates, venue details, and optional cost information.
Friends and groups
Friends, friend groups, invite links, and sharing choices that help decide who can see event and availability information.
Usage and device information
Information about how you use uDown, such as pages viewed, buttons clicked, approximate device or browser type, error reports, and similar information used to keep the service working.
Communications
Messages you send us, feedback, support requests, and information you include when contacting us.
Calendar information
If you choose to connect Google Calendar, uDown uses calendar information to help your group find times that work. Friends and invitees may see availability information needed for planning an event or group.
We aim to limit what other people can see to what is needed for planning. Your own calendar view may include information visible only to you so you can make a better RSVP decision.
You can choose not to connect Google Calendar and enter availability manually. If you do connect Google Calendar, you can still manually add or update availability where the product allows it.

We may delete or de-identify information when it is no longer needed. If you ask us to delete your account or personal information, we will take reasonable steps to do so unless we need to keep certain information for legal, safety, or service-related reasons.
Event information and event availability may be deleted after the event ends or when it is no longer needed, unless we need to keep certain information for legal, safety, or service-related reasons.
